Background:Deon Wolpowitz Deon Wolpowitz graduated from Columbia University in 2002, obtaining his M.D. from the College of Physicians and Surgeons and his Ph.D. from the Center for Neurobiology and Behavior. He completed his preliminary year of internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 2003, and then did his residency in dermatology at the Combined Boston University/Tufts program, finishing in 2006. He joined the faculty of Dermatology, BUSM upon completion of his fellowship program in 2008. Deon has dual roles within the Department of Dermatology, evaluating patients in the Faculty Practice of Boston Medical Center and signing out skin biopsies at the Skin Pathology Laboratory at Boston University School of Medicine.

Special interests: General Dermatopathology

Research Interests: "I have a clinical interest in pruritus and have active lines of laboratory-based research investigating the role of cutaneous nerves in skin diseases as well as in three dimensional imaging of nerves in skin biopsies from normal and disease states."
